Fetus found in Hamirpur Sewerage Treatment Plant, police investigating

Hamirpur, August 31: A fetus was found in the sewerage treatment plant near Hathaly Khad near the Hamirpur district headquarters, causing a sensation. According to the information, the employees of the Jal Shakti Department saw the fetus in the inlet of the treatment plant during cleaning. The police was immediately informed about this. The police reached the spot and took the fetus into custody and sent it for post-mortem.

In the preliminary investigation, it is believed that someone must have thrown the fetus in the drain, which reached the treatment plant while flowing. Shiv Kumar, pump operator of Jal Shakti Department, said that the fetus was found while cleaning, after which the officials were informed and the matter was handed over to the police.

SP Hamirpur said that the matter is being investigated and further action will be taken after the post-mortem report. The police is currently also investigating who threw the fetus and how.
