Shimla, August 26: Governor Shiv Pratap Shukla and Chief Minister Thakur Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu have greeted the people of the state on the occasion of Janmashtami.
Sh. Shukla said that Janmashtami is a sacred occasion for Hindus, which is celebrated with great enthusiasm throughout the country. He said that the teachings and philosophy of Lord Krishna are more relevant in the current perspective and we should follow them to lead a successful life.
Giving his greetings and best wishes to the people of the state on this occasion, Chief Minister Thakur Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu said that the philosophy of Lord Krishna contained in the Bhagwad Gita has attracted the attention of the whole world, which is a beautiful revelation of life knowledge and this philosophy is guiding humanity. He said that the Gita is actually the essence of Hindu scriptures and religious philosophy.
