Governor presides over closing ceremony of 10th International Film Festival
Himachal Pradesh Governor Shiv Pratap Shukla presided over the closing ceremony of the 10th International Film Festival Shimla (IFFS) at the complex.

Shimla, August 18: The 10th International Film Festival Shimla concluded with a grand ceremony at the Gaiety Heritage Cultural Complex on Sunday. Himachal Pradesh Governor Shiv Pratap Shukla presided over the closing ceremony of the 10th International Film Festival Shimla (IFFS) at the complex.
The three-day event was held in Shimla from August 16 to 18, 2024 with an aim to showcase the best of world cinema and provide a platform to filmmakers and film talents from across the world. On the third day of the closing ceremony, a huge crowd of spectators thronged the Gaiety Heritage Cultural Complex to enjoy the mega carnival of cinema.
Festival Director Pushp Raj Thakur said that around 105 films representing 27 countries and 22 states of India were screened in the 10th IFFS edition. The festival was jointly organized by the Ministry of Information & Broadcasting, Department of Language & Culture, Government of India, Government of Himachal Pradesh and Himalayan Velocity.
The festival featured various international, national and state level competitions, including specially curated sessions. In addition, film screenings as well as masterclasses with film institutes, film critics and film industry experts were also organized. 60 independent directors marked their presence at the festival and presented their films to the audience. IFFS strives to promote creativity and innovation in documentaries, short films, feature films, animation films, music videos and web series.
