Nahan, Aug 13: IIM Sirmaur in Himachal Pradesh has announced the launch of its new Bachelor of Management Studies (BMS) programme. This full-time, residential four-year undergraduate course is designed to prepare the next generation of incumbents in India. The programme aims to provide students with the skills and knowledge required for leadership and innovation in the changing socio-economic landscape.
Professor Prafulla Agnihotri, Director, IIM Sirmaur, said, “We are excited to launch the programme. It will provide students with the necessary foundational skills and practical experience. The programme provides an opportunity for ambitious youth to excel in the global business environment and develop as future leaders. The emphasis on experiential learning including industrial training and international semesters sets our programme apart from others.”
Professor Vikas Kumar, Chairman of the Programme, emphasized the importance of the BMS programme, saying, “The BMS programme is one of the few undergraduate courses offered from IIMs. It provides an exceptional opportunity to develop business acumen at the beginning of the career. Students will benefit from a well-rounded educational experience and have the flexibility to explore other interests alongside their studies.”
