Himachal government settled 1,87,565 revenue cases in 10 months: CM

Giving information on Saturday, Chief Minister Thakur Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu said that the state government has settled 1,87,565 revenue cases through Revenue Lok Adalats in the last 10 months. 31,500 cases were resolved in July 2024 alone.

Shimla, July 03: Giving information on Saturday, Chief Minister Thakur Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu said that the state government has settled 1,87,565 revenue cases through Revenue Lok Adalats in the last 10 months. 31,500 cases were resolved in July 2024 alone.

The Chief Minister said that between October 2023 and July 2024, the state government settled 1,63,268 Intakal, 9,417 Taksim, 12,453 Nishandehi and 2,427 revenue errors cases through special Revenue Lok Adalats. He said that this is the first time in the country that a state government has organized such Lok Adalats to resolve revenue cases pending for years, which have brought positive results.

In July 2024, special Lok Adalats settled 16,514 Intakal, 554 Taksim, 2,142 Nishandehi and 464 revenue errors cases. Apart from this, 10,746 Intakal, 408 Taksim, 541 Nishandehi and 131 revenue errors were also resolved on July 30 and 31. The Chief Minister said that through this initiative, people are getting solutions to their problems at their doorstep and its success is evident from the fact that people are taking advantage of this facility in large numbers. He described this initiative of the government as a time-bound disposal of cases pending for years.

The Chief Minister informed that the government has started a special campaign for Revenue Lok Adalats from October 2023, under which these Lok Adalats are organized on the last two working days of every month so that people do not have to visit the revenue offices again and again. He said that the state government is giving priority to transparent and prompt administration, and people are excited by the decisions taken in public interest. Clarifying the commitment of the government, the Chief Minister said that the problems of the common man are being given top priority and their solution is being ensured.
