The Himachal Pradesh Cabinet has decided to give a one-time relaxation to allow the use of physical stamp papers available with stamp vendors for three months from August 1, 2024.

Shimla, July 25: The Himachal Pradesh Cabinet has decided to give a one-time relaxation to allow the use of physical stamp papers available with stamp vendors for three months from August 1, 2024. The decision is aimed at providing relief and flexibility in the use of stamp papers for various official purposes.In addition, the Cabinet has constituted three sub-committees to address specific issues:

Sub-Committee on Investigation of Arbitration and Court Cases: Headed by Industry Minister Harshwardhan Chouhan, Revenue Minister Jagat Singh Negi and Public Works Minister Vikramaditya are members. This committee will focus on investigation of arbitration and court cases.

Sub-Committee on HPSEBL Matters: Headed by Technical Education Minister Rajesh Dharmani, AYUSH Minister Yadveinder Goma is a member. This sub-committee will investigate matters related to Himachal Pradesh State Electricity Board Limited (HPSEBL).

Sub-Committee on Compassionate Appointments: Headed by Education Minister Rohit Thakur, Technical Education Minister Rajesh Dharmani and AYUSH Minister Yadvinder Goma are its members. This committee will review cases of compassionate appointments.

Besides, the Cabinet approved the extension of the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) in favour of Alliance Air Aviation Limited to operate flights between Shimla-Dharamshala-Shimla. The service will operate seven days a week from July 1, 2024 to June 30, 2025, ensuring uninterrupted air connectivity between these major cities.

The Cabinet also approved several other important administrative decisions:

Creation of SDPO Offices and Posts: The Cabinet approved creation of one SDPO Office at Dharampur in Mandi district as well as creation and filling of five posts of various categories. Six posts of various categories were approved for the newly opened SDPO Office at Chuwari and 22 posts for the newly opened Police Station at Sihunta in Chamba district. Six posts were also created for the SDPO Office at Indora in Kangra district and six posts for the newly opened Police Station at Bhoranj in Hamirpur district. In addition, 31 posts were approved for the newly upgraded Police Station at Manikaran in Kasol in Kullu district.

Recruitment in Jal Shakti Department and Public Works Department: The Cabinet decided to fill 116 posts of Works Inspector in Jal Shakti Department through direct recruitment and 25 posts of Junior Technician (Work Inspector) in Public Works Department.

Judiciary and Civil Services Recruitment: Approval was given for filling up 21 posts of Civil Judges through direct recruitment.

Public Works and Jal Shakti Department Expansion: The Cabinet decided to create a Public Works Department Division at Dehra in Kangra district and a Public Works Department Division at Jawalamukhi, along with creation and filling of 26 posts. Apart from this, approval was given to create a new division of Jal Shakti Department at Dharampur, a new sub-division at Parwanoo in Kasauli Assembly Constituency of Solan district and transfer of jurisdiction of Subathu sub-division from Arki Division to Dharampur Division. Electricity Division Reorganization: The Cabinet approved opening of an Electricity Division at Haroli in Una district, in which the existing divisions under Gagret and Amb Divisions will be reorganized and 13 posts were created and filled.

Health Care and Administrative Reforms: Approval was given to open a Block Medical Office at Jaisinghpur in Kangra district, along with creation and filling of necessary posts. Development Blocks Pragpur, Nagarota Surian and Dehra will be reorganized so that the people of the area can get better facilities.

Tourism and Civil Aviation Department: The Cabinet decided to fill up 16 posts of various categories in the Tourism and Civil Aviation Department.

Treasury and Medical College Appointments: Ten posts of Treasury Officers will be created and filled in the Treasury, Accounts and Lottery Department. Apart from this, one post of Assistant Professor in Cardiology in Dr. Rajendra Prasad Government Medical College, Tanda and six posts of Yoga Instructor in Dr. Radhakrishnan Government Medical College, Hamirpur will be created and filled.

Development Block Staffing: The Cabinet approved the creation and filling of eight posts for Development Block Surani in Kangra District.

The Cabinet has also approved the procurement of various fruits under the Market Intervention Scheme. Apples, Kinnow, Malta, Oranges and Mangoes will be procured at the rate of Rs 12 per kg and Galgal at Rs 10 per kg. Apples will be procured from July 20, 2024 to October 31, 2024, while mangoes will be procured from July 1, 2024 to August 31, 2024. Kinnow, Malta, Oranges and Galgal will be procured from November 21, 2024 to February 15, 2025.
