Una, July 25: Army soldier Naik (Gunner) Dilawar Khan of Bangana subdivision of Una district of Himachal Pradesh was martyred in an encounter with terrorists near Srinagar on Wednesday morning. The body of 28-year-old Dilawar, a resident of Gharwasra of Bangana, will be brought to his native village on Thursday at around 2 pm.

Deputy Director of Sainik Welfare Department, Lt. Colonel (Retd.) SK Kalia gave this information. He said that on Thursday (July 25), martyr Dilawar Khan’s funeral will be held in his native village Gharwasra with full state honors as per Muslim rituals.

Let us tell you, Dilawar, born in March 1996, joined the army on December 20, 2014. Chief Minister Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu, Deputy Chief Minister Mukesh Agnihotri, the entire cabinet, Kutlehar MLA Vivek Sharma, Una Deputy Commissioner Jatin Lal and all the officials of Una district have expressed deep condolences on the martyrdom of brave soldier Dilawar Khan.

The Chief Minister said that this is a moment of great pain for all the people of the state because we have lost the son of the state. His supreme sacrifice against terrorism while protecting Mother India will not go in vain.
