Himachal: Thieves broke into the house of an Arki resident working in Shimla and stole jewellery worth Rs 2,25,000

Arki, July 20: There is news of a theft in Roshan Lal’s house in Arki assembly constituency of Solan district of Himachal Pradesh. Roshan Lal and his wife are working in Shimla and come to their village on holidays. They had gone to Shimla on the morning of 18 July. According to the information, Roshan Lal’s three brothers also live in the village, the theft has taken place in the lower floor of the house.
On July 19, in the afternoon, his brother informed on the phone that the door of his room was open and the items were scattered. When Roshan Lal reached home with his wife, he found that four gold rings, three chains, a small mangalsutra, bracelets, earrings, tops, four silver bangles, a pair of anklets and a silver mangalsutra, whose total value is about ₹ 2,25,000, were stolen from his room.
The Arki police have registered a case against an unidentified person under sections 331(4) and 305(A) of the Indian Justice Code in Arki. Further investigation into the matter is underway, Solan SP Gaurav Singh confirmed.
