Himachal News: CM Sukhu lays foundation stone of Rs 33.75 crore tourist complex at Auhar in Bilaspur
Hon’ble Chief Minister of Himachal Pradesh Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu on Sunday laid the foundation stone of a new tourist complex at Auhar in Bilaspur district of Himachal Pradesh.
Shimla, July 14: Hon’ble Chief Minister of Himachal Pradesh Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu on Sunday laid the foundation stone of a new tourist complex at Auhar in Bilaspur district of Himachal Pradesh. The tourist complex, to be built at a cost of Rs 33.75 crore and equipped with modern facilities, will include hotel block, food court and entertainment area. The project is likely to be completed within two years.
CM Sukhu directed the officials of the Tourism Department to ensure quality construction work. He said that the hotel in this tourist complex will have reception and waiting area, restaurant with a capacity of 60 people, conference room with a capacity of 30 people, Dham Hall for 400 people, banquet hall with a capacity of 300 people and rest room, kitchen and toilet facilities. The hotel will also have 40 guest rooms and a food court with 8 stalls to cater to 214 people, a pick-up area, toilets for men and women and a green area including a children’s play area.
The CM said that the recreational area will have swimming pool, gym and spa, pantry, store, back office and toilet facility on the ground floor. The first floor will have pool, indoor game room, lobby area, four massage rooms and additional toilet facilities. Apart from this, a sewage treatment plant of 50 KLD capacity is also proposed in this complex and green grass, royal palm trees and sprinkler system will also be developed in the complex.
The CM said that this new complex, equipped with modern facilities, will become a centre of attraction for tourists. He directed officials to connect the tourist complex with water sports activities in Gobind Sagar Lake so that the visitors can be thoroughly entertained and the inflow of tourists in this area can increase. He said that the second phase of the complex will be built on the opposite side of the road and both the sections will be connected. This phase will have an amusement park for children, a food court and other necessary facilities. Rs 150 crore will be spent on this entire project.

CM Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu said that the Himachal Pradesh government is committed to improving tourism infrastructure to provide world-class facilities to tourists. To strengthen the state’s economy, there is a need to strengthen the tourism sector, which will provide employment and self-employment opportunities to the youth and will also strengthen the economy of Himachal Pradesh. He said that the Himachal Pradesh government is constantly striving to make Himachal Pradesh the best tourist destination in the country and every possible effort is being made in this direction.
CM Sukhu said that due to the implementation of the Model Code of Conduct, developmental work in Himachal Pradesh has been affected, but now the Congress government will work rapidly for the interests of the state and ensure the welfare of every section of the state. He also listened to the problems of the people on this occasion.
