Himachal News: Father and son arrested in the case of embezzlement of 18 crores in Subathu Urban NATC Cooperative Society, former chairman Sushil Garg gave 8 crores to son Manan Garg
Solan police has arrested a father-son duo in connection with the embezzlement of crores of rupees in Subathu Urban NATC Cooperative Society in Solan district of Himachal Pradesh. The accused have been identified as Sushil Garg (74) and his son Manan Garg (44).
Solan, July 11: Solan police has arrested a father-son duo in connection with the embezzlement of crores of rupees in Subathu Urban NATC Cooperative Society in Solan district of Himachal Pradesh. The accused have been identified as Sushil Garg (74) and his son Manan Garg (44). The accused are being produced in court. Solan SP Gaurav Singh has confirmed. The number of accused arrested in the embezzlement case has gone up to three.

During investigation, it was found that Sushil Garg was the chairman of Subathu Urban NATC Cooperative Society for the last 27 years. During this time, he allotted loans worth crores of rupees to himself and his relatives in connivance with the manager and other officials of Subathu Urban NATC Cooperative Society. He also embezzled the money of Subathu Urban NATC Cooperative Society by getting a loan of about 8 crores for his son Manan Garg, which he is not returning now.
The current chairman of Subathu Urban N.A.T.C. Cooperative Society, Sandeep Gupta, had accused former chairman Sushil Garg and secretary Amar Kashyap of embezzling more than 18 crores.
On scrutiny the records, it was found that Sushil Garg and Amar Lal Kashyap, ignoring the instructions issued by the cooperative department, had distributed loans of crores of rupees to their friends, family members and business associates without any security and beyond the limit, without making any proposal from the then management committee. Accused Sushil Garg was absconding.
Former secretary Amar Lal Kashyap was arrested by Solan police. Amar Lal Kashyap had applied for anticipatory bail in the District and Sessions Court Solan to avoid his arrest, which was rejected by the District and Sessions Court Solan.
After this, the team of Subathu police station arrested the accused former secretary Amar Lal Kashyap.
SP Solan Gaurav Singh said that the investigation of the case is going on and Subathu police says that more revelations can be made in this case.
