Nalagarh, July 11: There was chaos in the only civil hospital of Nalagarh subdivision of Solan district of Himachal Pradesh on Monday morning. At 5.30 am, a horrific scene suddenly occurred when a short circuit in the meter installed in the patient ward caused a fire. This spread smoke in the ward and created panic among the patients.

The fire department was immediately informed. On receiving the information, a fire brigade vehicle immediately reached the spot. The team also controlled the fire promptly.

Fire brigade officer Ramlok said that as soon as he got the information, the fire personnel immediately reached the civil hospital and controlled the fire.

Although, there was panic in the civil hospital due to the smoke, but there were no casualties. The fire officer said that due to the fire, the civil hospital suffered a loss of about 2.5 to 3 lakh rupees, luckily no person was harmed.
