Dharamshala, July 07: Kangra District Magistrate, Hemraj Bairwa, using the powers conferred under Section 144 for the purpose of conducting the Dehra Assembly by-election in Kangra district of Himachal Pradesh in a free, fair and peaceful manner, informed that a complete ban has been imposed on rallies and public meetings in the Dehra Assembly constituency after 6 pm on July 8.

There will be a complete ban on the use of loudspeakers, rallies and processions in Dehra assembly constituency after 6 pm on July 8, 2024 till the end of voting.

Along with this, there will be a ban on gathering and walking of more than 5 people together within a distance of 100 meters of the polling station, except those standing in line to vote and personnel deployed for law and order.

Hemraj Bairwa said that except for security personnel deployed on election duty, other persons will also be prohibited from carrying firearms, lethal weapons, banners, sticks within 100 meters of the polling station. This order will be applicable from 6 pm on Monday till the end of polling on 10th July.
