CM Sukhu: Summer Festival Shimla is a historic festival
The main attraction of the last cultural evening was famous singer Daler Mehndi, who mesmerized the people with his performance.
Shimla, June 20:Hon’ble CM of Himachal Pradesh Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu attended the last cultural evening of International Summer Festival Shimla-2024 as the Chief Guest.In the last cultural evening, CM Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu said that Summer Festival Shimla is a historic festival and he has been enjoying this festival since the beginning and CM said that our endeavour is that maximum number of tourists come to the capital Shimla and enjoy the valleys here and go from here happily.The CM said that fairs and festivals reflect the rich cultural heritage of Himachal Pradesh, for the preservation of which many fairs are organized by the Himachal Government in different parts of the state.In the last cultural evening, the CM also released a souvenir. Along with this, Deputy Commissioner and Chairman of International Summer Festival Shimla Organizing Committee Anupam Kashyap honored the chief guest and other guests.The main attraction of the last cultural evening was famous singer Daler Mehndi, who mesmerized the people with his performance.An attractive programme was presented by the Children of the State at the International Summer Festival Shimla-2024, in which a delightful presentation was given by the students of Bal Ashram Tutikandi, Bal Ashram Mashobra.
Artists of North Zone Cultural Center Patiala (NZCC) presented Bahrupiya, Kaachi Ghori, Vioscope and Puppet every day at the International Summer Festival Shimla-2024.
On the last day of International Summer Festival Shimla-2024, artists from Government High School Kaithu, Chaupsali School Shimla, NZCC Patiala Uttarakhand (Jonsari Dance) Punjab, NZCC Patiala Punjab (Bhangra and Jindua), NZCC Patiala Uttar Pradesh (Barsana Ki Holi, Mayur Dance) performed.
On this occasion, Chairman of Himachal Pradesh Tourism Development Corporation R. S. Bali, Chief Parliamentary Secretary Sanjay Awasthi, Commander ARTRAC Lieutenant General Manjinder Singh, General of Staff Lieutenant General DS Kushwaha, MLAs Vinod Kumar and Reena Kashyap, Mayor Municipal Corporation Shimla Surender Chauhan, Vice President Forest Development Corporation Kehar Singh Khachi, Deputy Mayor Uma Kaushal, Vice President HPIDC Vishal Chambiyal, and other dignitaries were present.
