Reported & Written By Kumud Sharma, Diary Times, Shimla, June 10 :The Modi government at the center has distributed the departments of all the cabinet ministers on Monday evening.Prior to issuing departments to all the ministers, PM Modi has also chaired the meeting of the new cabinet.Jagat Prakash Nadda from Himachal Pradesh has been entrusted with the important responsibility of Ministry of Health and Ministry of Chemicals and Fertilizers.In NDA-1.0 also, Jagat Prakash Nadda was made the Union Minister of Health and Family Welfare.
Let us tell you that Jagat Prakash Nadda is going to become a minister for the second time in the Health Department. From 1998 to 2003, Jagat Prakash Nadda has handled the responsibility of Health and Family Welfare Minister in the Himachal Pradesh government. In the year 2007, when the government of former Chief Minister Prem Kumar Dhumal was formed for the second time in Himachal Pradesh, Jagat Prakash Nadda was also made the Forest Minister, but due to increasing differences with Prem Kumar Dhumal, Jagat Prakash Nadda resigned from the post of Forest Minister in the year 2010.In the first Modi government formed at the Center in the year 2014, Jagat Prakash Nadda also took over the responsibility of the Union Health Ministry from 9 November 2014 to 30 May 2019.In the year 2019, Jagat Prakash Nadda was made the National President in the organization of Bharatiya Janata Party. Jagat Prakash Nadda’s second term as the National President of Bharatiya Janata Party is ending in the year 2024.
With Jagat Prakash Nadda being appointed as the Union Health and Family Welfare Minister, there is going to be a big responsibility to improve the health services of Himachal Pradesh.
While being the Union Health Minister in NDA-1, Jagat Prakash Nadda had given priority to the construction of medical colleges in Himachal Pradesh. Also, Jagat Prakash Nadda had given priority to starting all the health facilities in AIIMS Bilaspur in his home district Bilaspur as soon as possible.
Also, since Nadda has been given the Ministry of Chemicals and Fertilizers, the important responsibility of the Pharmaceuticals Department is also in the hands of the Minister of Chemicals and Fertilizers.
