Solan News: 21 boxes of illegal country liquor recovered from the sweet shop operator of Darlaghat.
Reported & Written By Kumud Sharma, Diary Times, Solan, May 06:Illegal liquor has been arrested from a sweet shop by the Darlaghat police team of Solan district of Himachal Pradesh.Darlaghat police team has carried out the entire action on the basis of secret information.The complainant had told the police that an illegal business of country and English liquor was being run by a tea and sweet shop operator in Mangu Bazaar.

Taking the secret information seriously, a special team of Darlaghat Police Station was sent to Mangu Bazaar on Sunday.
The special team raided the sweet shop and recovered twenty-one boxes of Desi Marka Orange No.1 for Sale in HP from the Shop operator Brij Lal, age forty-nine years, son of Devi Ram, resident of village Mangu, tehsil Arki, district Solan..
Also, a total of two hundred and fifty-eight bottles along with six bottles in open cardboard boxes have been seized. During interrogation, Brij Lal has not been found to have a valid license or permit to sell liquor.
A case has been registered against the main accused Brij Lal under Section 39(1)(A) of the Himachal Pradesh Excise Act by the Special Team of Darlaghat Police Station.
The investigation of Darlaghat police station has also revealed that even before this action was taken against the main accused Brij Lal, one case each of illegal liquor smuggling and assault was registered in Darlaghat.
