Ongoing rainfall activity is likely to decrease in Himachal Pradesh from tomorrow dated 30.04.24 for the subsequent 3-4  days. The weather seems pleasant today, according to the Meteorological Centre at Shimla. In the summer capital light rain is likely to occur with low visibility and the possibility of gusty wind ( 30-40 km) at isolated places and a yellow alert has been issued by the meteorological department in this area. In catchment areas of Himachal Pradesh like Satluj, Beas, and Ranjit Nagar light to moderate precipitation is likely to occur in most places of this area. An orange alert has been issued by the meteorological department. Light to moderate precipitation likely to occur at most places in the districts of Lahaul – Spiti, Kinnaur, Chamba and Kullu. Light to moderate precipitation is likely to occur in many places with the possibility of thunderstorms, lightning, and gusty winds ( 30-40 kmph ) at isolated places in districts Kangra, Mandi, Una, and Hamirpur. An orange alert is issued by the meteorological department in this area. In the remaining district of Himachal Pradesh yellow alert is issued by the meteorological centre Shimla.

In the past 24 hours, light to moderate rain/snow occurred in many states. Within this period, The area of lower Hills like districts Kangra, Hamirpur, Una, Bilaspur, and the lower part of Mandi, Solan, and Sirmour recorded rainfall in many places, and tomorrow this will continue. In the area of the Middle Hills like some parts of Shimla, Solan, Sirmour, and Mandi same weather as the lower hills of Himachal Pradesh prevails. Tomorrow as well the weather will be bad as per the meteorological center Shimla. Whereas, in areas of High Hills like Kinnaur, Lahaul, and Spiti, and some parts of Chamba and Kullu rainfall and snowfall are recorded at many places in Himachal Pradesh. And tomorrow this will continue as usual. Today no large in minimum temperatures and maximum temperatures fall markedly during 24 hours. The average minimum temperatures and maximum temperatures were below normal. Today the lowest temperature was recorded at Keylong = -1.7 degrees Celsius, which is lower than yesterday’s. and yesterday, the Maximum temperature was recorded at Paonta Sahib =37.0 Degrees Celsius. According to the Ministry of Earth Science and Meteorological Department of India. Today the chief amount of snowfall is traced in two areas of Himachal Pradesh that are Koksar ( 11cm ) and  Hansa ( 5mm ). and rainfall is traced in many areas. Among these Rampur Bushar received 4mm of rainfall which is the highest for the day. and in  Dalhousie, Thoeg, Sarahan, Pandoh, Kothi, Bijahi, Wangtoo, Sundarnagr, Koksar, Pooh, Sangla, and Rohru received 1mm of rainfall today which is the lowest for the day. Other areas of Himachal Pradesh received rainfall today are Kumarsen ( 3mm ), kataula ( 3mm ), Shimla AERO ( 3mm ), Chamba AWS ( 3mm ), Mashobra Aws 9 3mm ), Narkanda Aws ( 3mm ), Saloni ( 2mm ), Shimla ( 2mm ), Hmo Shillaro ( 2mm ), Kheri ( 2mm ), Gohar ( 2mm ).

According to the Ministry of Earth Science and Meteorological Department at Shimla Current Weather over the major cities of Himachal Pradesh is Keylong has the Coolest temperature among the major cities at 0.4 Degrees Celsius, accompanied by a high chance of rain at 99%. Following Keylong, Kufri offers a Slightly warmer climate at 11.5 Degrees Celsius with a 64% chance of precipitation. Moving on to Shimla, the temperature rises to 10.4 Degrees Celsius with a 95% chance of rain. Chamba and Sundernagar both experience warmer temperatures, with Chamba at 16.2 Degrees Celsius and a 100% chance of rain, while Sundernagar records 16 Degrees Celsius with a slightly higher chance of rain at 92%. Lastly, Kangra tops the temperature chart at 18.5 Degrees Celsius, but it has the lowest chance of rain among the cities at just 1%.
