Shimla: Machines of Sewerage Treatment Plant Barmu broke down, eight panchayats were in danger due to dirty water flowing out.

Reported & Written By Kumud Sharma, Diary Times, Shimla, April 22: Sewerage treatment plant of Shimla Water Management Corporation built in Barmu village of Shimla, the capital of Himachal Pradesh, which is connected to Sanodan drain. Today, due to this dirty sewerage treatment plant, the lives of eight panchayats are in danger.
All the machines of the Sewerage Treatment Plant Barnu have broken down and the entire sewerage is coming out without being treated, due to which diseases like dengue, malaria, diarrhea and jaundice are making people victims of Barnu village, But Shimla district administration officials are not able to wake up.
The people of Barnu village demand that all the broken machines of the sewerage treatment plant should be replaced by the company as soon as possible so that the eight panchayats of Shimla district can get clean water instead of dirty water and farming can also run smoothly.
Let us tell you that the Sewerage Treatment Plant Barmu was constructed in the year 2005 and the machines are quite old.
Shimla District Administration has entrusted the responsibility of installing new machines to the Sewerage Treatment Plant company but even after three years have passed from the year 2021, the work of installing new machines has not been done by the company yet.
