A 31-year-old Kangra man has died after being hit by Jan Shatabdi train at Churudu railway station under Amb sub-division of Una district.

Reported & Written By Kumud Sharma, Diary Times, Una, April 11: A 31-year-old Kangra man has died after being hit by Jan Shatabdi train at Churaru Takrala railway station under Amb sub-division of Una district. Railway Police has taken the body into custody and sent it to the regional hospital for post-mortem. The investigation into the matter has been started.

According to the information, on Wednesday night Pankaj Kumar, resident of Kangra, reached Churaru Takrala by boarding Himachal Express train from Amb in Una district. Where after getting off the Himachal Express train, Pankaj got hit by the Jan Shatabdi train coming from New Delhi on the other side. During the accident, Pankaj Kumar’s head and legs were injured, due to which the young man died on the spot.

The deceased has been identified as Pankaj Kumar, son of Ram Pukar, resident of Post Office Upper Paragpur, Tehsil Dehra, District Kangra.

After receiving the information, Railway Police reached the spot and took the body into custody.

Railway outpost in-charge Una Purushottam Singh said that the police has started further action regarding the dead body. Also the family members have been informed.
