Himachal News: Five Day State Level Nalwadi Fair Started With Bull Worship And Peg Planting

The fair was formally inaugurated by worshiping the bulls and burying the peg at the venue. Most of the Panchayat representatives, officials and other dignitaries gathered from Ghumarwin sub-division participated in it.

Reported & Written By Kumud Sharma, Diary Times, Bilaspur, April 05: Divisional Commissioner of Mandi area Rakhil Kahlon inaugurated the five-day state level historical and cultural Nalwadi fair in Ghumarwin of Bilaspur district by worshiping a pair of bulls, a symbol of happiness, wealth and grain, and burying a peg in the fair ground.

Before this, SDM and Chairman of the Fair Management Committee Gaurav Chaudhary presented a memento to the chief guest Rakhil Kahlon.

Earlier, under the leadership of Rakhil Kahlon, after offering prayers in the Shiva temple, a procession was taken out with bands, drums and Ranasingha sounds. The fair was formally inaugurated by worshiping the bulls and burying the peg at the venue. Most of the Panchayat representatives, officials and other dignitaries gathered from Ghumarwin sub-division participated in it.

Chief guest Rakhil Kahlon said that fairs and festivals are actually the unique identity of our hill culture through which our old heritage and culture is exposed. He said that the people of the area should participate enthusiastically in the fair so that our old culture can be promoted. He congratulated all the district residents of the fair.
