Shimla, February 26: The accused who murdered a restaurant employee with a sharp weapon (Mortar) in front of the police assistance room on Mall Road in Himachal capital Shimla has been caught by the police. Shimla Police has arrested 30-year-old accused Satinder Pal from Sirsa, Haryana. The police have brought him to Shimla. Accused Satinder Pal Will be produced in court and taken on remand. Shimla Police have registered a case of murder against the accused under section 302 of IPC in Sadar police station.

The accused is a resident of Haryana and worked in a restaurant on Mall Road, Shimla. Last night the accused had killed an employee of a restaurant located on the upper floor. After committing the crime, he absconded from the scene. First he went to Kasumpti, then reached Sirsa via Chandigarh from the bus stand. Shimla Police laid a trap to catch the accused and through mobile location and other inputs, he was caught in Sirsa last night.

Let us tell you that the accused had murdered restaurant worker Manish (21), resident of Koti, Kupvi (Chaupal) in a heinous manner. Manish was working in a restaurant on Mall Road for about a year. Police found out from CCTV cameras that Satinder Pal Singh of Sirsa (Haryana), who was working in the cafe adjacent to the restaurant since December 2023, carried out the crime. According to the police, the accused was trying to steal from the cafe.

When the police personnel came out after hearing the sound of glass breaking, they saw Manish lying on the ground in a bloody condition. Blood was flowing. Police personnel picked up Manish and took him to IGMC. Manish died during treatment here. According to doctors, Manish died due to excessive bleeding. Actually, along with working part time in a restaurant, Manish was also doing a computer course. He was the only son of the family.

After Manish death in IGMC, family members and relatives created ruckus. Earlier, he also had an argument with the police on Mall Road. The family members were demanding the police to conduct an impartial investigation and arrest the accused soon. The police forensic team collected evidence from the spot and also seized weapons. Let us tell you that this matter was echoed loudly in Himachal Assembly yesterday also By Opposition Party BJP.
