Himachal Tourism: Tourism Shines Even In Disaster, Record 1.60 Crore Tourists Come In 2023 To Himachal

Despite the natural disaster in Himachal Pradesh, a record 1.60 crore tourists have visited Devbhoomi Himachal in the year 2023. The most important thing is that compared to the year 2022, an increase of 5.99 percent has been recorded in the inflow of tourists.

Wednesday February 21: The past year has been very beneficial in Himachal Pradesh from the tourism business point of view. Despite the natural disaster in Himachal Pradesh, a record 1.60 crore tourists have visited Devbhoomi Himachal in the year 2023. The most important thing is that compared to the year 2022, an increase of 5.99 percent has been recorded in the inflow of tourists. The 5.99 per cent increase in tourist inflow has certainly been beneficial for businessmen involved in the tourism business, including hotels, restaurants and taxi operators.

A total of 1.51 crore tourists have visited Devbhoomi in Himachal Pradesh in the year 2022. Whereas in the year 2021, 56.37 lakh tourists and in the year 2020, 32.13 lakh tourists had visited Devbhoomi Himachal Pradesh.

In the year 2020-21, when the tourism business was adversely affected due to Covid-19, but after the restrictions of Covid-19 were lifted, tourists started visiting Devbhoomi Himachal Pradesh.

If we look at the statistics of Himachal Tourism Department, the tourist city Kullu-Manali remains the first choice of tourists. In the year 2023, 27.59 lakh tourists have visited the valleys of the tourist city Kullu-Manali. Solan stood second in Himachal Pradesh with 24.64 lakh tourists, while Shimla stood third with 21.43 lakh tourists. 6.76 lakh tourists have reached Kangra.
