Shimla News: Expenses On Parking Of HRTC Buses In Delhi Will Be Reduced By Eight Lakhs, Passenger Facilities Will Increase
Himachal Pradesh Road Transport Corporation Managing Director Rohanchand Thakur told Diary Times correspondent Kumud Sharma that there will be a saving of about one crore rupees in a year due to which passenger facilities will be increased and rest rooms, beds and toilet facilities are going to be provided for the HRTC bus drivers and conductors.
Himachal Road Transport Corporation (HRTC) buses in the capital of India, Delhi, are now going to be parked at the Rajghat depot of Delhi Transport Corporation (DTC).
An MoU has been signed between HRTC and DTC regarding parking.
Every day 120 HRTC buses go to Delhi from various routes in Himachal. Till now the buses of Himachal Pradesh Road Transport Corporation were parked in private parking located at Jagatpur, 12 km from ISBT.

Every HRTC bus had a daily dead mileage of 24 kilometers for parking. Monthly parking charges were being paid at Rs 3.5 lakh.
DTC’s Rajghat depot is just 4 kilometers away from ISBT. Himachal Pradesh Road Transport Corporation will have to pay Rs. 6 lakh every month for parking HRTC buses here, but the dead mileage per HRTC bus is going to be reduced by 16 kilometers.
The monthly expenditure on parking HRTC buses in the private parking of Jagatpur was Rs 20 lakh, which is going to reduce to Rs 12 lakh in Rajghat depot.
