Vikram Singh Dhiman, chief resident of Gahar Gram Panchayat of Ghumarwin sub-division of Bilaspur district of Himachal Pradesh, posted on the important post of ASI in ITBP, has died due to heart failure while on duty at the age of fifty-six.

Vikram Singh Dhiman, chief resident of Gahar Gram Panchayat of Ghumarwin sub-division, posted on the important post of ASI in the Indian-Tibetan Border Police (ITBP), has died due to heart failure while on duty at the age of fifty-six.

Jawan Vikram Singh Dhiman is expected to reach his native village Gahar by late Wednesday night. As soon as the news of the death of Jawan Vikram Singh Dhiman due to heart failure was received, a wave of mourning has spread in the entire Gahar Gram Panchayat area. ASI Vikram Singh Dhiman was currently serving in the state of Chhattisgarh. Also, Vikram Singh Dhiman had left for Chhattisgarh for duty after taking leave about ten days ago. Preparations were also going on in Vikram Singh Dhiman’s family for his son’s wedding to be held in the month of April. When Vikram Singh Dhiman came home during the holidays, he went for duty after waiting a long time for the marriage.

Apart from painting his son’s house, Jawan Vikram Singh Dhiman himself had gone on duty by giving advance to the band players and cooks.

Now the soldier was about to reach home for the marriage of Vikram Singh Dhiman’s son. Jawan Vikram Singh Dhiman had joined the Indian-Tibetan Border Police (ITBP) about thirty years ago. Jawan Vikram Singh Dhiman is survived by his wife, a son and a daughter. The daughter was already married.

Gahar Gram Panchayat head Tara Chand told Diary Times correspondent Kumud Sharma that ITBP jawan Vikram Singh Dhiman was a person of very sociable nature.

ITBP jawan Vikram Singh Dhiman, while living together in the society, also helped every person of Gahar Gram Panchayat.

The news of ITBP jawan Vikram Singh Dhiman dying due to heart failure while on duty on Tuesday is extremely painful.

The last rites of ITBP jawan Vikram Singh Dhiman will be performed at Gahar Gram Panchayat on Thursday.
