Shimla News: Both Personnel Suspended For Fighting In Police Line Kathu, Superintendent Of Police Took Action
The entire incident of fierce fight between constable Mahavir and cook Sunil Kumar was recorded in Police Line Kaithu late on Monday night. Constable Mahavir’s leg was broken due to the fight, while on the other hand, cook Sunil Kumar also had injuries in his ear.
A notification of suspension has been issued in the entire case of assault on two police personnel in Shimla, the capital of Himachal Pradesh. In the preliminary investigation by Shimla District Police Administration, guidelines have been issued for suspension of both the policemen as they were found guilty of indiscipline. Both the policemen have been suspended with immediate effect. Shimla District Police Administration Superintendent has issued a notification due to indiscipline in the entire incident of fighting between the two policemen. It may be noted that late on Monday night, an incident of fierce fight was registered between constable Mahavir and cook Sunil Kumar in Police Line Kaithu. In the entire incident of assault, both the legs of constable Mahavir were broken, while on the other hand, cook Sunil Kumar suffered serious injuries in his ear. Police Line Kaithu constable Mahavir Singh had accused the cook Sunil Kumar posted in the mess of abusing and brutally assaulting him.

On the other hand, mess cook Sunil Kumar of Police Line Kaithu had also lodged an FIR against constable Mahavir Singh in Baluganj police station of Shimla district. Preliminary investigation by the teams of Baluganj police station found that both the policemen were living in the same barrack for a long time. Also, the long-running dispute over rank between the two policemen had turned into a fierce fight. According to the information received from Police Line Kaithu, one of the two soldiers has also served in the Indian Army. Due to which the soldier has joined the police after retirement from the Indian Army. The entire responsibility of departmental investigation into the entire assault incident was handed over to DSP level officers. On the other hand, Shimla District Police Administration Superintendent Sanjeev Kumar Gandhi said that as both the policemen of Police Line Kaithu were found guilty of indiscipline, an order for suspension has been issued with immediate effect. Besides, investigation process and strict interrogation has also been started in the case of complete assault.
