Sirmour News : Chief Minister Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu today conducted an aerial survey of the flood-affected areas of Sirmour district. During this, he also visited Ambon village in the district and met the affected and assured them of all possible help.
He said that Ambun village has been sinking for the last several decades but no solution has been found for it. He said that the storm water drain in the area is continuously getting damaged. The Chief Minister told that a study will be conducted regarding channelization of the drain and a permanent solution will be given to the problem.
The Chief Minister said – This village has always been facing disaster. I believe that what I have seen is that for fifty-five years these people have been demanding that how this drain should be channelized, it is a matter of study that how this should not happen. It may be that channelization is done and when the clouds burst, even more villages on the other side where the people have settled and the villages will be harmed.
But I believe that it is very important to see these things. Our government should not harm the families of the common man, I will get myself a study done on this subject, but apart from getting the study done, the kind of lassah is coming. that there seems little hope
So how to do it, it can be said in a scientific way only after our team will come. He said that due to heavy rains people’s houses as well as cash crops were also damaged, he told that ten thousand rupees have been given to the affected families so far. Immediate relief has been given.
