Monsoon rains lashed capital Shimla last night and this morning. Intermittent rains are still continuing here. Monsoon rains are continuing intermittently in Chamba, Sirmaur, Una, Kangra, Kullu and Solan districts as well.
Rajgarh and Haripurdhar areas of Sirmaur district have been receiving torrential rains since late night. Fresh rains have brought relief to the people of the region from the humid heat prevailing for the last few days.

The Meteorological Department has issued an alert for rain today and the rescue operation has started again this morning in Sirmauri Tal of Paonta Sahib Assembly Constituency. Five people went missing due to cloudburst here on Wednesday late evening, out of which two people died. The bodies were recovered yesterday.
