A loss of Rs 35 crore has been estimated to the Public Works Department alone due to the disaster caused by heavy rains in Chaupal assembly constituency. One person has died in this calamity while 60 houses have been completely damaged.
One hundred and twenty-nine pucca houses and fifty-eight kutcha houses have been partially damaged. Eighty cowsheds have also been damaged. In the Chaupal area, more than two and a half thousand gardeners have been damaged in two thousand three hundred and forty one hectare of land.
Industries Minister Harshvardhan Chauhan has instructed the officials to prepare a correct report of the loss caused to every person in the area, so that people can be provided relief according to the revised relief manual.
Education Minister Rohit Thakur and MLA Balveer Verma were specially present on this occasion.
