G20: The one thousand jawans who are being trained in the VIP Training Institute of CRPF are not ordinary personnel. These include all those jawans who have been part of VIP security in the past. The 18th ‘G20’ summit will be held in New Delhi on 9-10 September. It will be attended by heads of state and heads of government of 19 countries. Apart from this, the European Union will also participate in this conference. Also, the heads of nine countries, as guest countries, will participate in the G20 meeting. Preparations for this conference are in full swing in the Union Home Ministry. A special squad of 1000 ‘Rakshaks’ is being prepared by the CRPF at the VIP Security Training Centre, Greater Noida, for foolproof security of foreign guests. 50 CRPF trainers from different parts of the country are engaged in grooming the guards. About 50 teams of these guards will be formed. Apart from this, about 300 bulletproof vehicles are being prepared.

This responsibility has been assigned to the Ministry of External Affairs. Delhi Police is also being given training at CRPF’s training centre.

At the training center, jawans will be entrusted with the responsibility of protecting foreign guests from ‘carcade’ to ‘hotel’. They are being trained in the same way. How to escort VIPs to their vehicles after they drop off at the hotel or meeting point. At that time, all the protocols regarding security are being told about them. How to sit in a car, what safety formula to use in case of an accident, how to protect foreign guests if there is a sense of danger, etc. are being taught. If there is a technical fault in the vehicle in the middle of the way, then what will be the condition of the spare vehicle number 1, 2 and 3 during that time. In which vehicle the foreign guest will be shifted. Meaning, how to provide 360 degree defense to the VIP, all this is part of the training. This training will continue till September 6. After that there will be rehearsal. Different security forces have been assigned the responsibility for night security at the hotel where the foreign guests will stay. The responsibility of any place will not rest with one security force. For example, during the night halt, there will be a Delhi Police squad along with the Border Guarding Force.
