Kullu : The President of Kullu District Cooperative Union demanded to declare the disaster in the state as a national disaster
Former Minister and President of Kullu District Cooperative Union, Satya Prakash Thakur has demanded the central government to declare the disaster caused by heavy rains in the state as a national disaster.

Talking to reporters in Kullu, he said that the central government has provided relief funds to Himachal and declaring it as a national calamity will help the state more.
Satya Prakash Thakur said that Kullu district has suffered maximum loss and tourism business has also been affected by it. He said that Kullu District Cooperative Union will contribute Rs.51,000 to the Chief Minister’s Relief Fund.
He said – today it was unanimously passed that a request should be made to the Government of India, that Himachal Pradesh should be declared a national calamity and especially in Kullu district, there has been a lot of damage.
Even here, whatever is under national calamity or help should be given immediately, although till now help has come from the Government of India and the state government is doing a lot of work. We have laid the foundation from our own fund and will try to help other cooperative societies as well, whether on behalf of our union or directly.
