Himachal Pradesh- Bilaspur District Suffered A Loss Of More Than Rs 40 Crore.

Deputy Commissioner Abid Hussain Sadiq told Diary Times correspondent Kumud Sharma that the situation in Bilaspur is such that out of 21 roads which were closed, we have already opened thirteen roads and eight roads which are there will be opened by tomorrow morning. There has been talk of water supply, out of which one hundred and sixty two schemes were done by us.

Highlights –Due to the heavy rains in the last few days, property worth about Rs 40 crore has been damaged in Bilaspur district.

Deputy Commissioner Abid Hussain Sadiq said that the damage assessment reports are yet to come from many places in the district, due to which this figure may increase further.

The Deputy Commissioner said that during this period about twenty-one roads were damaged in the district, out of which thirteen roads have been restored for traffic while eight roads will be made smooth today.

He informed that one hundred and sixty-two projects under Jal Shakti Department were affected. Out of which one hundred and sixty projects have been rectified.

The Deputy Commissioner said that out of seventy-two DPRs under the Electricity Department, seventy-two have been rectified, while the work on the remaining two is underway.

Abid Hussain Sadiq said that all the services are running normally in the district, that the four-lane is a precautionary measure that has been discontinued.

Out of that we have already completed one hundred and sixty schemes and there are two schemes, it will take two to three days, but in that also we have made arrangements by order.

So no one has faced any problem of water in our district.

Today Bilaspur, out of which 72 of our DPRs were closed and we have got 70 DPRs fixed, so now we have only two DPRs which are still bad, on which work is going on and will be done as soon as possible.

Total our situation in Bilaspur District which is well under control and almost our life comes back on track.
