Leader of the Opposition Jairam Thakur has alleged that the state government has not made any preparations to deal with the rains and the Chief Minister does not even have time for a review meeting of preparedness for disaster management.
He said this after taking stock of the damage caused by the rains in Tungadhar of Seraj assembly constituency. Jairam Thakur said that it is necessary to prepare for disaster management before the rains and in case of damage, ministers should be sent to the spot and report should be taken.
But nothing like this is happening in the current government. I think this is an outbreak and it is not in anyone’s hands, but in spite of that we used to send MLAs, ministers and the administration on priority for relief work wherever there was damage.
Now so many incidents happened due to rains, but till now a meeting is held in Himachal Pradesh to take precautionary steps before monsoon, before flood, what things can happen. There is no time for that. No meetings have taken place yet.
He also said that if the Chief Minister continues to act in this way, then definitely the state may face problems in the coming times.
