G20 Summit Uttarakhand: G-20 understood the development model of Nusantara city of Indonesia
G20 Summit Meeting: In a seminar organized by the Presidency of India and Asia Infrastructure Investment Bank, AIIB, the delegates discussed the topics of increasing private investment in cities of the future, simplifying policies and promoting strong infrastructural development.

Basic infrastructure development of future cities was discussed on the first day of the G-20 3rd Infrastructure Working Group (IWG) meeting at Narendranagar in Tehri, Uttarakhand. In this, the delegates understood the development model of Nusantara, a new city in Indonesia, one of the most ambitious cities in the world. In the meeting, 63 representatives of G-20 member states, invited countries and international organizations participated in the discussion. Representatives of 16 G-20 countries attended the meeting physically, while representatives of four countries participated virtually.
The third meeting of the G-20 began at Hotel Western Resort in Narendranagar on Monday. Earlier, the guests were warmly welcomed. He was adorned with a hill cap with tilak and flower showers on his forehead. Two sessions were organized on the first day. These carried forward the discussion held during the second IWG meeting in Visakhapatnam in March 2023.
In the meeting, organized by the Presidency of India and the Asia Infrastructure Investment Bank, AIIB, the delegates discussed the topics of increasing private investment in cities of the future, simplifying policies and promoting strong infrastructural development. Apart from this, mutual harmony was emphasized to fight the natural challenges.
During this, the role of technology, infratech and digitization in inclusive development of future cities in partnership with Asian Infrastructure Investment Bank was discussed. The delegates understood the development model of Nusantara, a new city in Indonesia, one of the most ambitious cities in the world.
The side event was represented by eminent panelists from Harvard University, World Resource Institute, C-40 Cities and Cambridge University. The Mayor of Dhaka, Bangladesh also shared his thoughts towards making municipalities and cities sustainable and inclusive.
After this, in the late evening, the delegates participated in the dialogue program at the dinner. Where he saw the rich cultural heritage of Uttarakhand and enjoyed the local cuisine. In the morning session on 27th, the delegates will participate in Yoga Retreat, where they will do Yoga under the guidance of skilled Yogacharyas amidst beautiful natural scenery.
