North Indias largest zoological park will be built at Bankhandi in Hamirpur district
North India’s largest geological park will be built at Bankhandi in Kangra district and the state’s largest zoo will also be built here.

Chief Minister Sukhwinder Singh Sukhu has given instructions to the officials of the Forest Department for this and work has started on it. Geological park will be constructed on one hundred and eighty hectare land and for this the survey work has been completed.
Wild animals will be given natural environment inside this park and there will be no tampering with them. The DFO of Hamirpur division told Diary Times that in this park people will be able to see wild animals in the form of safari in an open jeep.
This was the vision and the idea put forby our honorary chief minister of Himachal Pradesh, to come up with the large geographical part.
We have 3 – 4 zoo which are small and mini zoo but we do not have a large zoo at Himachal
