International pro boxing competition organized at the historic Ridge Ground in Shimla in the memory of former Chief Minister Virbhadra Singh concluded in Himachal Pradesh yesterday.
Governor Shiv Pratap Shukla inaugurated it. Apart from India, players from Vietnam, Russia, South Korea and Philippines showed their strength in this competition, there were a total of five matches in the competition, out of which Indian players won three matches.
The winning participant was given a prize of fifty one thousand rupees. The Governor said that youth can be kept away from drugs through sports and appreciated the organizers of the competition.

State Congress President Pratibha Singh and Public Works Minister Vikramaditya Singh were also present on the occasion. Vikramaditya Singh said that Rural Olympiad will be organized soon in the state to attract the youth towards sports.
He said that multi-country halls will be established in every area of the state and games will be organized in them. We are also going to conduct Rural Olympiad inside Himachal Pradesh, so that too has started from today. In the coming time, we will organize rural Olympiad on a large scale in every corner of the state and we will try to organize it in his name.
