Farmers training camp organized in Palampur,Training given to 120 farmers of Mandi district

In this program, one hundred and twenty farmers of Mandi group were given information about improved fodder crops and grasses.
On this occasion, Dr. Amresh Chandra, director of the Indian Pasture and Fodder Research Institute, Jhansi, emphasized on the development of improved varieties of fodder crops in the country.
He said that due to weeds and other reasons, varieties of twelve-season pulses are decreasing and it may also disappear in a few years. The institute is continuously working on this.
Dr. Suresh Radwatra of Himachal Pasture Land Regional Center Palampur said that the farmers were informed about the different varieties of grass planted for research in the institute’s forest guard.
He said that farmers can get the best fodder for their animals throughout the year by planting these varieties in their area and in this way by getting fodder for themselves throughout the year, they can turn it into their business as well.
