Monsoon arrived more than a week late, first rains in Kerala yesterday

The Biparjoy storm has the biggest hand in the delayed arrival of monsoon in India as the monsoon has reached Kerala with a delay of a week due to Biparjoy storm in the Arabian Sea. It is expected to reach North India after a week. Monsoon will reach Maharashtra by June 10. Will reach Gujarat, Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh, Jharkhand and Bihar on June 15.
Monsoon will knock in Uttar Pradesh on June 20. Will reach Rajasthan, Delhi, Haryana and Punjab on 30th June. Today there is an alert of heavy rain in Kerala, South Karnataka, Manipur, Mizoram, Tripura. Whereas, heat wave conditions are possible in Uttar Pradesh, Bihar, Jharkhand, West Bengal, Odisha, Andhra Pradesh and Telangana.
