TMC MP Luizinho Faleiro resigns from Rajya Sabha
TMC Rajya Sabha MP and former Goa Chief Minister Luizinho Faleiro has resigned. The Rajya Sabha has accepted Luizinho’s resignation. According to sources, Faleiro’s resignation was being sought by TMC office-bearers for staying away from party affairs in Goa for a long time.

According to TMC sources, Faleiro had refused to contest from Fatorda in the 2022 assembly elections against Goa Forward Party leader Vijay Sardesai. Because of this, the top leadership of the party was upset with Faleiro. Keeping in mind the 2022 assembly elections, TMC had sent Faleiro to the Rajya Sabha in 2021, seeking the resignation of Rajya Sabha MP Arpita Ghosh. Arpita Ghosh’s tenure was till 2026.
