Odisha | Sand artist Sudarsan Pattnaik created a sand sculpture on ‘Good Friday’ at puri beach.

The entire world is observing the ‘Good Friday,’ which commemorates the death of Jesus Christ by crucifixion at Calvary in Jerusalem today.

‘Good Friday’ is the Friday before Easter. On ‘Good Friday’ Christians solemnly honor the way Jesus suffered and died for the sins of the world. They attend ‘Way of the Cross’ a service that recounts Jesus’ painful crucifixion and refrain from food to show their sorrow.

On the occasion, noted sand artist Sudarshan Pattnaik created a heart-touching sand art at Puri Sea Beach urging for ‘Prayer for Peace.’

Pattnaik used over six tons of sand to create the sand art on Good Friday. His sand sculpture with the theme of ‘Prayer for Peace’ has the face of Jesus Christ and the Cross.
