According to bdnews news portal, Bangladesh signed an agreement in 2017 to import diesel from India through the pipeline, which stretches from Siliguri in West Bengal to Meghna Petroleum Depot at Parbatipur in Dinajpur. The report said that the initial deadline of June 2020 was the bilateral project launched in March 2020, but the deadline was extended due to the Corona epidemic.
