Snow Marathon was organized in Himachal Pradesh, people ran in -8 degree
Vikesh Singh of Solan secured the first position in the country’s second snow marathon organized by District Administration Lahaul-Spiti and Reach India at an altitude of 10,000 feet. Vikesh stood first in 42 kilometer full marathon. Kushal Thakur of Kullu stood second in the same category. In the 21 kilometer half marathon category, Anish Chandel of Bilaspur got the first position and Pawan of Chamba got the second position.
In the 10 kilometer category, Rustam of Mandi secured the first position and Rajendra of Jammu secured the second position. In women’s full marathon category, Tanzin Dolma of Kaza stood first, in half marathon category Manali’s Palak Thakur and in 10 kilometer category Sanna secured first position.
During the marathon, a team of doctors from Fortis Hospital, Mohali provided medical services to the runners along the 42 kilometer marathon route. Reach India CEO Rajeev Kumar said that the marathon was a success amid huge enthusiasm.
