First Global Responsible Tourism Summit in 2023 ?
NotOnMap, a Chamba-based Rural Tourism organization in Himachal Pradesh, participated in the first-ever Global Responsible Tourism Summit. This international summit provided an effective platform to encourage the adoption of responsible tourism [RT] principles and practices by the tourism trade industry and other stakeholders all over the world. The summit turned out to be a powerhouse of leaders, with representatives of the world’s top sustainable and tourism organizations. NotOnMap was a key participant who spoke about their unique ‘Responsible Business Model’ which is focussed on creating rural livelihood opportunities, equitable and shared economy, socio-cultural preservation, and rural community development through the use of ‘Travel as a Tool’

PROJECTS
TraVival is an extensive training project with 150+ videos to Educate and Train travel stakeholders from homestay owners and rural communities. This will help to rectify the challenge of the lack of proper & systematic training modules on tourism, hospitality, and sustainability management for rural travel stakeholders. The Summit saw the participation of eminent personalities like P. A. Mohamed Riyas, Minister of Public Works and Tourism, Kerala.
