On Monday, a report was registered by a 27-year-old woman on being raped. A 27-year-old woman, an engineering graduate, was drugged and raped by a man in the basement of the mall in a car.
The accused tricked the woman with a job interview. He called her in the mall for a job interview at 1 pm. He met her at the gate of the mall, took her to the basement, and gave her water to drink. The water was drugged which caused the woman to lose consciousness. Then dragged her into the car and raped her. He left her in the parking lot, and basement area of the mall and ran away. He also threatened her not to say anything.
The search for the accused is going on. All the CCTV
cameras of the mall are getting checked.
Complaint registered under the following IPC sections,
- Section 328, causing hurt using poison.
- Section 376, rape
- Section 506, criminal intimidation
