Lalit Kumar, in-charge of Manpura police station in Baddi, Solan district of Himachal Pradesh, has been caught red-handed while taking a bribe of twenty thousand rupees by the special teams of Himachal Pradesh Vigilance.

Himachal Pradesh Vigilance has arrested Manpura police station in-charge Lalit Kumar with immediate effect along with the bribe money. Within the next 24 hours, Himachal Pradesh Vigilance will present Manpura police station in-charge Lalit Kumar before the division bench of Himachal Pradesh High Court. According to the complete information received from Himachal Pradesh Vigilance, recently the entire case was registered under the Mining Act by the police station in-charge Lalit Kumar posted in Manpura. Besides, Manpura police station in-charge Lalit Kumar himself was investigating the entire matter under the entire Mining Act. It has been alleged that Baddi’s Manpura police station in-charge Lalit Kumar had demanded a bribe of twenty thousand rupees from the main accused to close the case under the Complete Mining Act. A complaint was lodged by the main accused against Manpura police station in-charge Lalit Kumar to Himachal Pradesh Vigilance DSP Dr. Pratibha Singh regarding bribery. Himachal Pradesh Vigilance DSP Dr. Pratibha Singh had asked the main accused to pay a bribe of twenty thousand rupees to Manpura police station in-charge Lalit Kumar on Tuesday. Meanwhile, a trap was laid by all the teams of Himachal Pradesh Vigilance near Manpura police station to catch police station in-charge Lalit Kumar.

As soon as the main accused gave twenty thousand rupees as bribe to Manpura police station in-charge Lalit Kumar, immediately the teams of Himachal Pradesh Vigilance arrested Manpura police station in-charge Lalit Kumar red-handed along with twenty thousand rupees. All the twenty thousand rupee notes were already inked by Himachal Pradesh Vigilance teams.

On the other hand, Himachal Pradesh Vigilance SP Anjum Ara, while confirming the entire arrest case, told Diary Times correspondent Kumud Sharma that Himachal Pradesh Vigilance had arrested Manpura police station in-charge of Baddi in Solan district, Lalit Kumar, for taking a bribe of twenty thousand rupees. Himachal Pradesh Vigilance SP Anjum Ara said that Himachal Pradesh DGP and Solan District Police Administration SP Baddi have also been informed about the entire matter by writing a letter.

On the other hand, SP Baddi Mohit Chawla told Diary Times correspondent Kumud Sharma that Manpura police station in-charge has been arrested with immediate effect and suspended from the post of police station in-charge.
