Under the Smart City mission, the electric buses received at Dharamshala depot will soon be plying on long routes. Divisional manager of HRTC Dharamshala depot Pankaj Chadha said that at present the route of these buses has been fixed till Jasur as a trial.

The battery performance of these buses will be checked during the trial. He said that fifteen electric buses have arrived in Dharamshala so far. This is a trial, when the work of the road is going on nowadays with a little light, then after this we have thought that we will do a trial on this route whether its battery performance

How do these vehicles get on there? A little bit of occupancy which I myself am feeling that there is a trend among the people. Although we have run all the routes, earlier our HRTC or other buses were running on it, but now electric is running, but one thing I myself feel, I live on the road, that there is a lot of enthusiasm among the people.

Because the car is very nice, it is a beautiful car. It is pollution free as well as there is a lot of comfort for the people. There is no sound at all. So I have the same hope that people will use it wherever they are and I myself am also seeing that there is a 30 seater vehicle on the road which our vehicles come and go and I see that people are taking full advantage of it, so I would say this. That obviously there is a boom in occupancy as well.
