Una, 21 August: A person died due to stray animal attack in village Jankaur adjoining the district headquarters. The deceased has been identified as Kewal Singh son of Vishan Das resident of Pekhubela. Police has taken the body in its custody and sent it to the regional hospital Una for postmortem.

According to the information, Kewal Singh resident of Pekhubela was passing through Jankaur village on Tuesday night. During this time, a stray animal attacked him, due to which Kewal Singh fell in the field adjoining the road. Kewal Singh, badly bleeding in the attack, died on the spot. On Wednesday morning, local people saw the dead body lying in the field and informed the police. Police reached the spot, took the body in its custody and questioned the local people.

ASP Una Sanjeev Bhatia said that a person has died due to animal attack. The body has been taken in its custody and sent for postmortem.
