Una, August 10: Police have succeeded in arresting four youths with chitta during a blockade in Athwan and Behdala under subdivision Amb. Police have recovered 11.07 grams of chitta from the accused. The accused arrested in Behdala are residents of Punjab, while the youths arrested in Athwan are from Kangra district. Police have registered a case against the four accused under the Narcotics Act and started investigation.
According to the information, Una police had set up a blockade in Behdala on Friday night on the basis of secret information. During this, the police signaled to stop the bike coming from Pir Nigaha. When the police searched for the two youths riding the bike, chitta was recovered on 4.82. The accused youths have been identified as Satnam Singh resident Jindwari Punjab and Charanjit Kumar resident Nangal, district Ropar Punjab. The police have registered a case against them and started investigation.
The second case is of Athwan under subdivision Amb, where the police searched a car during a blockade. The police recovered 6.25 grams of chitta from the car riders Saurabh Kumar Katnoria resident of Palampur and Arun Bhuria resident of Kangra.
Superintendent of Police Una Rakesh Singh said that the police have registered a case against the four on the charge of possessing chitta and started investigation. Further action is being taken.
