Tragic accident in Bata river: Sixteen year old youth drowned after getting trapped in strong waves, died

Reported & Written By Kumud Sharma, Diary Times, Paonta Sahib, May 22There is news of the tragic death due to drowning of a sixteen year old youth who had gone to take bath in Bata river under Paonta Sahib sub-division of Sirmaur district of Himachal Pradesh. The deceased has been identified by Paonta Sahib police station in-charge as Saurav son of Rakesh Kumar, aged sixteen years, resident of village Bhatanwali tehsil Paonta Sahib district Sirmaur.Paonta Sahib police station in-charge said that on Wednesday afternoon, sixteen year old Saurav had gone to Bata river with his friends to take bath. Then Saurav suddenly drowned after getting caught in the strong waves of Bata river.

Friends of the deceased Saurav asked for help, after which the local swimmers took the deceased Saurav out of the Bata river and after giving information about the entire matter to the Panchayat head and the police, Saurav was sent to the Civil Hospital, where the doctor declared Saurav dead.
