Tourists had to pay a heavy price for making reels on the roads of Shimla, license suspended
Shimla, July 30: Nowadays, the trend of reels is on the rise in social media. People are ready to make reels anywhere to get publicity. Sometimes people are seen making reels anywhere on the roads. One such case has come to light in Shimla, the capital of Himachal Pradesh.
Actually, a female tourist was making a reel hanging out of the window of a Haryana number car (HR-26EQ-9570) on the Mashobra-Dhali road. During this time, the tourists were driving their vehicle fast and a truck was running right in front of their vehicle. As soon as this reel went viral on social media, Shimla Police came into action. Then what, Shimla Police challaned him for violating traffic rules. Also, the license of the driver driving the vehicle was suspended.
In the viral video, it can be seen that the girl is hanging out of the window of the vehicle, while a person sitting in a vehicle behind is making a video of her. Shimla Police took action and fined the owner of the vehicle making the reel Rs 2,500.
Shimla SP Sanjeev Gandhi said that taking cognizance of a video shared on social media, the police has fined the owner of the vehicle in the case. The vehicle owner has been fined Rs 2,500 under section 184 of the Motor Vehicles Act. Apart from this, the license of the driver driving the vehicle has also been suspended. Along with this, a recommendation has also been made to cancel the license.
He said that all the tourists coming to Shimla are heartily welcome, but Shimla Police will not tolerate violation of rules under any circumstances. Hanging out of the vehicle in this way is against the traffic rules. This puts not only one’s life but also the lives of others at risk.
