Mandi, 08 August: A person has died due to drowning in ravine in Thunag of Mandi district of Himachal Pradesh. It is being told that this person had gone to collect leaves for the animals on Thursday morning, where he died due to slipping and drowning in the ravine. The incident took place in Gram Panchayat Jhundhi under Janjheli police station area.
According to the information received, 60-year-old Karm Singh son Ramu, resident of Juad village of Gram Panchayat Jhundhi under Janjheli police station area, had gone to Ropa near Thunag to collect leaves for the animals at 9:30 am on Thursday. According to family members, Karm Singh drowned in the ravine due to slipping of his feet.
The police have registered a case and after conducting the post-mortem, the body has been handed over to the family members. Janjheli police station in-charge Roop Singh has confirmed the case.
