On 1st March 2023, the first Anti-Corruption Working Group (ACWG) meeting of G20 will be held in Gurugram, Haryana. The meeting will last for three days, until 3rd March 2023.

Experts from prestigious organizations like OECD, UNODC, and World Bank Group will be present and share their latest research in the field of corruption. The primary purpose of the meeting is to identify the issues that need to be addressed concerning corruption and to develop a comprehensive framework for its prevention.

The meeting will provide an opportunity to the members of G20 to assess the current global landscape and identify potential solutions from previously established anti-corruption initiatives. They will discuss strategies that are capable of countering corruption more effectively.

As a part of the meeting, representatives from India and other 19 countries will be visiting communities affected by corruption in order to understand the issues faced by them first-hand. They will be discussing new reforms regarding corporate governance and financial regulations that can contribute to preventing corruption.

The ACWG aims to bring a paradigm shift in the way corruption is perceived across the globe and to develop a strong institutional mechanism that discourages such unethical practices.

By the end of the meeting, representatives will draft a set of recommendations on anti-corruption action plans that can be implemented by all G20 nations. This ACWG of G20 has set out to place significant focus on incorruptible values at world level.
